Job Description

Our client has an immediate opening for an Accounting Manager/Assistant controller. This locally headquartered company continues to grow and has a very promising future. As an Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller, you will work with the finance management team, assisting with financial reporting, financial analysis, leadership of accounting staff, and the annual audit. Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Ensuring transactions are properly classified in the general ledger
  • Preparing and/or reviewing reconciliations of various general ledger accounts and ensuring timely follow-up of reconciling items
  • Supporting Controller in the preparation of recurring and ad hoc analyses and information requests
  • Researching, analyzing, and resolving questions from business unit managers relating to financial transactions including revenues, expenses and capital expenditures

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master's preferred
  • CPA is highly preferred
  • Public accounting experience is highly preferred (current or previous experience)
  • Experience with a private equity-backed company preferred
  • Superior communication skills both written and orally
  • Ability to manage projects independently and autonomously while engaging and leading others
