Job Description


Management and supervision of accounting team, including the accounts payable, general ledger, lease accounting and employee expense functions.

Work closely with the Controller to ensure timely reporting as it relates to both the monthly and annual financial reporting processes.


  • Oversee and manage accounting team:
    • Establish goals and objectives for each team member and monitor progress
    • Supervise the activities of direct accounting reports
    • Provide training and development of accounting personnel
    • Provide management of personnel issues relating to schedule conflicts, performance issues, etc.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely close of the monthly and year-end financial statements.Assist the Controller to ensure a clean and timely annual audit, including the management of data requests.
    • Establish and monitor the monthly and year-end close calendar to ensure all department and company financial deadlines are met.
    • Oversee the completion of and review all monthly balance sheet reconciliations and disaggregated income statement analyses
    • Oversee the accounts payable team members to ensure the accurate and timely processing and payment of invoices.
    • Ensure the company's financial policies and procedures are adhered to and initiate process improvement when necessary.
    • Work closely with the lease administrative team to ensure that rent related accounts are properly accounted for.
  • Assist the Controller to ensure a clean and timely annual audit, including the management of data requests.
  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer and Controller with special projects

  • 5+ years related work experience, with some public accounting experience preferred, but not required.
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting emphasis
  • Telecommunications industry experience is preferred, but not required.
  • CPA Highly Desired
  • Proficiency with ERP systems. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL preferred
