Responsibilities:

The Agile Business Analyst would be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks:

  • Support the Finance Fleet Lead in the decision-making process to prioritize deliverables
  • Assist in defining the Fleet's purpose, scope and means of operating
  • Help to establish core business KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and metrics to track the progress of the Fleet
  • Ensure alignment between squad's backlog and delivery, against the Fleet's roadmap
  • Partner with Product Owners to define and build out the strategic roadmap
  • Facilitation of resolution of cross squad dependencies and issues
  • Assists the Fleet Lead to communicate Fleet progress to key stakeholders (including accomplishments, risks, issues, dependencies, etc.)
  • Preparation of materials across Fleet level ceremonies (Incremental Business Reviews (IBR), Scrum of Scrums, Fleet Sync, etc.)

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of relevant experiences working on projects at an investment bank / financial services company
  • Experience working on an Agile team as a Scrum Master, Delivery Lead or equivalent (i.e., Project Manager, PMO)
  • Experience using JIRA (or similar agile delivery tools) and configuring boards
  • A pro-active thinker with problem solving skills who can mitigate cross squad dependencies and issues
  • Strong organization skills, with the ability to create detailed trackers and provide status updates
  • Ability to manage multiple cross-functional squads, within a Fleet
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent soft skills with experience working across groups
  • Strong desire to further your understanding of Agile practices and help to enforce them across the Fleet
  • MS Office skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience building Fleet level strategic roadmaps
  • Experience preparing for Incremental Business Reviews (IBR) and Fleet Ceremonies
  • Experience across a range of financial products (Fixed Income, Equity, Derivatives, Loans)
  • An understanding of the finance function and processes of a financial service organization (i.e., Accounting/Finance Processes)
