As an AP Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable department, preparing documents dealing with finances, handling vendor relations, and improving AP processes.

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The candidate must be organized and have the ability to interact with all levels of management within the company.

Additional responsibilities of the AP Manager include:

  • Manages accounting functions including maintenance of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting; ensures accuracy and timeliness
  • Reviews, codes, and verifies vendor invoices
  • Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
  • Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information; ensures the accuracy of financial statements
  • Enters status change information into project accounting software to ensure employee information is accurate and up to date
  • Trains and oversees the A/P team
  • Reconciles and enters other disbursements into the accounting system
