Job Title: Senior Node.js Developer (Angular or React)

Location: Houston or Remote

Fortune 250, environmental services company based in Houston, TX has multiple teams that are designing and developing innovative middleware solutions to support complex application-to-application and data movement services needed to deliver expanded B2B and B2C capabilities for 25 million customers across the US and Canada.



The company is using Node.js and AWS technologies that include EMR, EC2, ECS, Lambda, etc. services. and S3, Aurora, DynamoDB data management tools to develop middleware solutions to support the end-to-end customer experience and to support advanced analytics capabilities that leverage multiple ML and AI technologies.



The company is hiring for multiple positions across their middleware teams and is looking for diversity in technology skills and years of experience. The company is looking for mid-level to senior-level developers with multiple combinations (i.e., not all technologies and experience is required) of the below technologies and experience.



  • Ability to manage and monitor AWS EMR, EC2, ECS, S3, RDS Aurora (MySQL and PostgreSQL), DynamoDB, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Lambda, API Gateway

  • Working with JS frameworks (Node.js, React/Angular) or 5+ years of Java Experience



  • Experience designing and developing middleware solutions in hybrid cloud environment

  • Experience working in fast-paced, Agile development/delivery environments

  • Experience with DevOps principles and process automation

  • Familiar with networking principles and technologies (DNS, Load Balancers, Reverse Proxies)

  • Knowledge and understanding of cloud-based services fundamentals including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS



  • Support high volume, high throughput workloads.

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, AWS, NoSQL and microservices.

  • Proficient with data management fundamentals including data integration, metadata management, data quality, and governance

  • Monitoring systems (Cloudwatch, Datadog, Splunk)

  • Experience working in Agile PODs
