Business Developer Writer - 5-month contract to hire

Pay: $35 - $38/hr.

Location: Dallas, TX

Length: 5-month contract to hire


This position will work with leaders in facilities Management (FM), Marketing & Communications, Pursuit Enablement, and broader Global Workplace Solutions team to enhance existing and create new, impactful go-to-market (GTM) deliverables for the Facilities Management business.

Primary role objectives:

  • Work with FM leaders to understand key points of their product offering
  • Review and revise existing content supporting strong stand-alone and strategically aligned GTM content for use in proposals, presentations, and various business development needs
  • Create a wide variety of customized, professional-quality marketing materials for the Facilities Management business-both internal and external
  • Assist with maintaining Facilities Management marketing database/library, including standard marketing collateral and case studies
  • Develop strong working relationships with subject matter experts throughout the organization
  • Help to develop effective proposal response strategies
  • Copyedit all marketing deliverables
  • Required knowledge & skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely and reliable service to internal clients
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret documents
  • Ability to creatively problem solve
  • Ability to write RFIs, RFPs, reports, and articles that follow company-wide standards
  • Client focused, demonstrating the ability to provide quality service and advice within the marketing arena
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and people oriented. Enjoys working with different personalities and can adapt to/accommodate others' working styles while achieving goals and objectives of projects and deliverables

Experience & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4-year education in a relevant field i.e. marketing, advertising, communication, public relations, economics or commerce
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience working with others to create marketing/presentation materials
  • Experience with Facilities Management preferred
  • Experience is simplifying messages
  • Two to four years of related experience and/or training
  • Intermediate analytical and quantitative skills
  • Expert knowledge of software programs, specifically Microsoft Office software programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (PowerPoint, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
  • Background in commercial real estate, consulting, or marketing environment
  • Excellent writing abilities, as well as analytical experience
