Calling Las Vegas Controllers! Vaco is partnering with a global leading manufacturing company to find a Controller that will be an integral part of the North American finance team. The controller will join the general manager of the business unit to provide accurate and timely financial information and assist with strategic objectives.
Position: Business Unit Controller
Company Profile: Private Equity Backed - Wholesale Building Supplies
Location: Las Vegas, NV - Onsite
Expected Compensation: $120 - $140K base + annual bonus opportunity | DOE
Job Duties & Responsibilities - Oversee accounting operations including month-end close, financial statement preparation and monthly reporting, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, cash management, annual audit process, compliance and internal controls
- Establish and coordinate all accounting procedures for the business unit
- Build a daily communications rapport with the General Managers of your Business units, tackling financial issues, strategic direction and day to day financial tasks
- Prepare balance sheets and profit and loss statements, and other financial reports
- Complete balance sheet reconciliation
- Assisting departments and other business unit accounting personnel
- Managing accounting staff
Preferred Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; Master's degree a plus
- CPA a plus, but not required
- 6-8 years proven experience, preferably in a private sector, multi-site organization; multi-country experience a plus
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (V look ups, pivot tables), Word, Outlook, data mining and ERP systems
- QuickBooks, Solomon and Hyperion system experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Excellent organization, scheduling, planning, record keeping skills
Total compensation is negotiable based on experience including a competitive base salary, annual bonus, and more.
