Job Description

Our Seattle client is currently searching for a contract Assistant Controller. This is a great opportunity interfacing directly with the CFO and gain additional experience!

What you need:

  • BS in Accounting or equivalent experience - CPA strongly preferred
  • 5+ years Senior Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller experience
  • Accounting and financial reporting experience in a $500M+ company
  • Construction industry experience highly preferred
  • Proven track record of accountability, driving results, prioritizing deadlines and projects while staying focused with multiple responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and accounting best practices
  • Strong computer skills with experience using Oracle ERP / major ERP system
  • Broad accounting exposure in a rapidly growing product-oriented business
  • Experience managing teams and growing team member skills

What you will be doing:

  • Manage overall monthly close, consolidation and reporting process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Implement process improvements and changes to reduce costs, improve accuracy, integrate acquisitions and support major new initiatives
  • Coordinate with external corporate and statutory auditors in completion of annual audits and statutory filings
  • Coordinate with international advisors to ensure compliance with accounting policies, statutory reporting and international tax requirements
  • Evaluate complex accounting transactions and new accounting standards
  • Refine and improve accounting policies and internal controls. Ensure policy compliance and adherence to internal controls across entities
  • Assist with review of key client, vendor and partner contracts to ensure compliance with finance policies and accounting impacts are considered.
  • Participate in special projects such as acquisition due diligence or acquisition integration
