The Financial Controller directly supports the Aerospace Components Division's Finance Manager and the Business Unit's General Managers with a range of tasks: managing bank transactions; managing accounting processes; taxes; financial analysis; budgeting; managing the ERP system; and management information reporting.

  • Daily bookkeeping, general ledger, and accounting tasks across Business Units and locations
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Manage payroll and benefits
  • Assist, train, and coordinate with accounting staff on site/in other locations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual account closings
  • Complete and analyze financial performance metrics and reports (by legal entity, business unit, division, project)
  • Manage working capital and perform accounts receivable/payable work
  • Support bid & proposal efforts and project reviews
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting of the Group
  • Initiate cost-savings and process/efficiency improvements
  • Master and make improvements to ERP, accounting, and internal management systems
  • Compile data, format, and edit management information reports
  • Identify problems and areas for improvement
  • Propose solutions to problems to senior management
  • Coordinate solutions to problems across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Coordinate with external CPA firm for audit and tax purposes
  • Provide financial/accounting merger and acquisition support
  • Integrate subsidiaries and office locations into corporate structure
  • Perform variance analysis for actual results to the forecasting and budgeting reports
  • Provide detailed forecast analysis including budget versus actual spending and forecast verses actual spending


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; graduate degree a plus
  • CPA license a plus
  • 7+ years of senior level experience in an accounting role
  • Experience working in an industrial/manufacturing or engineering corporation
  • Experience with government contracts preferred
  • Experience with project cost accounting and percentage of completion revenue recognition strongly preferred
  • Experience implementing ERP systems a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
  • Ability to work with teams around the world
