A Los Angeles tech manufacturer is looking to hire a Controller for a new line of business as the company continues to grow. In this newly created position, the Controller will report to the VP of Finance and handle a number of responsibilities including purchase price accounting, financial reporting, system implementation, and automating processes. To be successful in this role, the Controller should be a hard worker, be knowledgeable, demonstrate enthusiasm, and have great leadership skills. What do you need in this Controller role?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 15+ years of accounting experience with at least 5+ years of managing teams
  • MUST have prior public accounting experience
  • Active CPA ideal
  • MUST have inventory, cost, and/or supply chain accounting experience
  • Advanced Excel

What will you do in this Controller role?

  • Accurate and timely financial reporting for products and supply chain
  • Lead monthly close for domestic and international entities
  • Spearhead system implementations
  • Help oversee annual
  • Assist with M&A transactions and due diligence reviews
  • Work on process improvement, automation, policies, and procedures
  • Advise on organizational strategic planning
  • Reserve accounting
  • Manage warranties
  • Complex revenue recognition
  • Analyze obsolescence and other cost accounting issues
