As a Contract Construction Controller, you will handle financial responsibilities including month-end close, intercompany accounting, WIP, AR, AP, Budgeting and more!

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Handle complete month-end close process and financial statement preparation
  • Perform intercompany accounting and transactions.
  • Frequently be aware of cash management and P&L standing for the organization.
  • Work with vendors and customers and handle necessary AP and AR related to those individuals.
  • AR: Cash Receipts and posting, collections. AP: invoicing, distributions, 3-way matching, sales and use tax reporting, partnering with other departments on invoicing and AP questions.
  • Account focus on inventory, fixed assets - depreciation and amortization, company credit card reconciliations, calculate WIP and perform job cost analysis
  • Review and Supervise employees
  • Coordinating and directing the financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities of all or part of an organization
  • Developing internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting
  • Preparing or directing preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies
  • Assist with tax and other regulatory requirements - federal and state taxes, payroll taxes, workers comp
  • Prepare information and work directly with auditors
  • Handle 401K administration and commissions.

Job Requirements

Experienced Controllers open to contract work with Construction Industry experience will be a good fit for this role. Successful candidates must possess a strategic approach, sound business judgment, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Additional requirement of the Corporate Controller role include: • 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance • Experience with WIP, Cash Management and Job Costing • Comfortable being hands on and in the weeds • GAAP knowledge • Expert Excel and Power Point skills; experience working and extracting information from various accounting platforms • Strong communicator, confident but humble personality, and ready for a challenge.
