Job Description

We are currently seeking a Controller level consultant for an immediate need. Candidate must have systems implementation experience, ideally with Dynamics NAV/Navision.

  • Accountant and/or Controller background with transformation expertise
  • Accounting designation (CMA, CGA or CA), or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
  • Minimum 10 years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role

Required experience:

  • Change management methodologies, tools and best practices.
  • Executing ERP and business process transformation.
  • Managing transformational and multi-disciplinary change initiatives for Finance
  • Finance process improvement
  • Defining and establishing business processes
  • Documentation of processes
  • Working with ERP systems, ideally Navision
  • Project Management (preferred)
  • Methodical approach to problem solving and decision making

Deliverables:

  • Define and capture "as-is" processes within A/R, A/P, Accounting.
  • Work with Finance & IT team members to develop "to-be" design of processes and enabling technologies.
  • Simplify, Standardize and Automate the Accounting and Settlement process efficiency and controls.
  • Liaise with IT and other teams to ensure data requirements are captured and leveraged from one or more of these sources
  • Facilitate automation of analytical and operational tasks and processes
  • Make stakeholders aware of business and system change decisions - including impact assessments
  • Oversee test plans, planning, prioritizing and managing results
  • Ensure improvement projects have the required project governance and reporting
  • Train Accounting Cycle owners in new processes
  • Work closely with CFO and Controller to ensure that new processes are efficient and sustainable
  • Clearly develop and document reporting processes to improve our control environment
  • Support the interaction with stakeholders across the business to ensure the impacts and processes are understood
  • Provide support and knowledge sharing within the team
