Our client is looking for a Raleigh-based Controller to join their team!

About the Controller:

This position is responsible for the accounting and administrative operations of the company. Responsibilities include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of the accounting systems and records, and a comprehensive set of internal controls designed to protect company assets, ensure compliance with company policy and ensure accurate financial reporting. As a member of the Management Team, this position will develop and maintain financial, administrative and operational forecasts for planning future investments and corporate strategies and drive excellence in all business processes of the Company.

Responsibilities of the Corporate Controller:

  • Provide strategic management of the accounting, finance, and financial reporting functions
  • Direct accounting policies and procedures and internal controls
  • Recommend improvements to ensure the integrity of the company's financials, controls, and processes
  • Integration Tools: Develop, improve and maintain Finance and Accounting integration processes, tools, and templates.
  • Prepare and report monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements
  • Create and maintain a strong internal control environment over all financial transactions
  • Provide inputs to the annual budget and on-going forecasting process
  • Drive continuous improvement through qualitative (e.g., internal, and external feedback) and quantitative data (e.g., KPIs, measurements)
  • Manage and oversee the relationship with external auditors

What you Need:

  • A BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Requires a minimum of ten years of professional experience
  • Manufacturing and PE experience strongly preferred
  • Strong financial reporting experience
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to delegate and manage effectively.
  • The ability to prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • A strong track record of high performance
  • Must be eligable to work in the USA
