Job Description

Vaco is currently working with a large Seattle-based healthcare clinic who is looking for a Controller to join their team right away.

The Controller will need to have a full understanding of the entire financial accounting, forecasting and budgeting process of the company, utilizes accounting knowledge to perform duties including maintaining general ledger and related financial records, preparing, and analyzing monthly financial statements for both internal and external customers, performing financial analyses, and other related projects. Responsible for ensuring the reliability of financial records, report and explain financial results accurately and in a timely manner to internal and external customers.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, customer service focus, and proven analytical ability are requirements of the position. Prior budget management and financial project management experience a requirement.

A snapshot of some of the exciting things you will do:

• Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies.
• Coordinating the monthly financial closing process; proper distributions of revenue & expenses by department, reconciliation of general ledger balance sheet accounts, as well as specific income statement accounts.
• Preparation, analysis, and distribution of the monthly financial reports.
• Maintain general ledger accounts, divisions, departments, and other segments to achieve accurate and meaningful financial reporting and analysis.
• Responsible for creating and monitoring internal controls to minimize risk of financial misstatements and fraud.
• Coordinate all external audit of financial records.
• Ad-hoc financial and operational analyses.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 6 years' progressive experience in general accounting, supervision, budgeting, and management reporting/analysis.
• Budget management and financial project management experience required in a large, complex business with over 60 departments and $250 million in revenue.
• Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
• Designation as a Certified Management Accountant or Certified Public Accountant is preferred.
• Access experience preferred.

Salary: $50-70/Hour
