Job Description

Vaco Boston has partnered with a fast growing technology solutions organization that is looking to hire a Controller to their team. This is a highly visible role that will be reporting into the CFO and will be responsible for international consolidations, financial reports, implementation of controls and the enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results

RESPONSBILITIES

  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly financial statements, including preparation of closing journal entries, tax provision, consolidation and supporting Excel databooks.
  • Manage and improve monthly and other period end
  • Supervise and assist in the preparation of monthly account reconciliations
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact financial reporting
  • Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; develop new accounting policies in accordance with GAAP as necessary.
  • Lead and support the timely and efficient completion of annual audit including coordinating the provision of information to external auditors and the preparation of fully GAAP compliant financial statements and footnotes.
  • Manage financial ERP systems
  • Manage accounting operations for all lines of business including the supervision of credit/collections/cash application and accounts payable functions
  • Maintain the corporate legal entity structure including oversight to establish new entities required for growth and annual reporting through our registered agent

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
  • A CPA is highly desired. MBA or other relevant graduate degree is preferred.
  • Experience managing international consolidations
  • Demonstrated experience managing external audits from planning through sign-off. Must have experience preparing GAAP financial statements including footnotes.
  • Experience working with a PE backed organization is preferred
  • Demonstrates thought leadership, team player and experience participating with a small team
  • Strong analytical/quantitative and communication skills.
