Role and Responsibilities:

An established organizational management firm is seeking a Controller to join its accounting team in Virginia Beach, VA! Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain full cycle management of multiple general ledgers, ensuring and verifying reconciliation of all subsidiary accounts through appropriate adjusting entries while maintaining accurate supporting documentation
  • Provide oversite over bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and fixed assets
  • Assets management
  • Analyze existing processes and create improvements through implementation to increase operational efficiencies.
  • Facilitate audits with internal and external business partners
  • Provide management oversite of accounting team staff, from employee performance through employee development

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 7+ years of general ledger, financial analysis, and reporting accounting experience
  • 5+ years of experience in management role
  • Strong GAAP knowledge and month-end close experience
  • Technical expertise in Excel
