As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for all cost accounting activities. This involves preparing and analyzing financial information as well as performing collection duties. You will be accountable for ensuring that all financial deadlines are met.

Responsibilities include:

  • Standard costing including the updating of the bill of materials
  • Standard vs. actual cost analysis
  • Establishing and maintaining appropriate reserves for inventory as needed
  • Ability to execute physical inventory and related variance analysis
  • Budgeting of costs
  • Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles
  • Investigate cycle counting variances and problem solve
  • Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close
  • Work on other general accounting projects in support of month end close
  • Ability to interact with internal and external audit teams
  • Experience with general journal entries
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years accounting/finance experience with degree in Accounting.
  • ERP experience preferably MAS 500. Prefered but not required
  • Strong analytical skills utilizing functions and other tools in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a team environment across multifunctional teams
  • Ability to travel to and work at multiple sites as needed
