*Hours are 2am-10am - ON-SITE in downtown St. Pete.*

This person will overlap their collegues schedule (he starts at 6am); They need someone familiar with Reconciliation, life cycle of trade, basic understanding of corporate actions.

Analyzes securities trading and position data from a wide variety of financial institutions and develops and applies rules to transform and normalize that data to meet the specifications of our clients. The analyst will work closely with our clients to develop and understand their data requirements, set up and maintain data transformation rules and processes, provide status updates and ongoing monitoring and maintenance. The analyst will work closely with colleagues involved with acquiring data and developing data transformation software.

Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for reviewing cash balances, transactions and security positions between the records of a Client's Accounting Book to those of the client's custodian bank. The Analyst should identify the root cause of reconciliation items and develop and implement solutions to eliminate systemic reconciliation breaks.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Business Analysis- Analyze and Document client business and data requirements.
    • Assists in the collection and consolidation of required information and data.
    • Propose solutions to problems and considers timeliness, effectiveness, and practicality in addressing client needs
    • Set up mappings for new account data and follow up with clients to ensure the new mapping is in place and working in their production environment.
  • Project Management - Assist project manager in planning, executing and finalizing the implementation of new clients within strict deadlines as well as oversee quality control throughout its life cycle
  • Data Analysis - Document, map and normalize accounting information using in-house data transformation tools.
    • Responsible for performing rapid analysis for all account data issues as reported by clients.
  • Daily Reconciliation - Reconciliation of Fund Managers and Custodian/Banks transactions, holdings and cash balances to ensure transactions and holdings are balanced and in line with records.
    • Detailed investigation of all exceptions and ensuring resolution within specified timeframes
    • Root cause analysis of reconciliation items and develop and implement solutions to eliminate systemic reconciliation breaks
    • Assist with audit and break reporting

Essential Technical Requirements:

  • Possesses basic knowledge of HTML.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Contain basic knowledge of SQL or other similar programming language.
  • Experience with STaARS or another Asset Reconciliation application a plus.

Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Information Services, Finance or related field, and or at least 1-2 years analyst experience required.
