Job Description

We are seeking an expert in FAA Program Management to join our team. We need someone who can take charge of the important tasks associated with certifying our product in the FAA system. To be successful, you should have experience in, and be familiar with the FAA's Type Certification, Technical Service Order, and Supplemental Type Certification processes and requirements.

We need someone who can:

  • Work closely with the FAA and customer stakeholders to define the best path forward for certification.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with FAA and other stakeholders.
  • Understand, write and execute the complex plans required for safe, compliant, and efficient certification and operations
  • Work well in ambiguous situations, helping our team and our industry define the best paths forward in work and tasks that have never been accomplished before.

The ideal candidate:

  • Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or Aviation Management function.
  • Has 3 years of experience working in FAA certification tasks: Type Certification, Technical Service Order, or Supplemental Type Certification processes or products.
  • Has excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Is proficient with Microsoft Office and Project applications as well as other computer-based tools required to run large, complex projects.
  • Has experience UAS operations or product lines. Certification as a pilot, mechanic, or Part 107 pilot would be a plus.
  • Is familiar with and interested in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced innovative engineering environment.


Job Requirements

*Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. •3+ years previous engineering experience preferred •Regular travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required. •High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications. •Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills. •Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning). •Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts. •Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients. •Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. •Ability to work with and influence peers and management. •Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
