Job Summary:

This position is responsible for Leading an overall Field and Corporate Recruiting including strategy and execution partnering with Hiring Managers that will attract key talent to restaurant. By working closely with Operations and Field People Services to proactively source, identify and select strong management and crew level candidates for our restaurants within our 4 Regions (North, South, East, and West), this person drives recruitment by proactively managing field candidate pools and networks to support our national sourcing strategies. The Recruiter is responsible for managing a full cycle recruiting process from posting a position to successfully hiring a candidate and will provide candidates and internal customers with a top-quality experience during the recruitment & hiring process at a very high volume level. This is a hands-on role and the incumbent will possess a passion for recruiting, working with leaders, and creating an overall, to employee experience (90 % Field and 10% Corporate).



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead the recruiting and on-boarding process for Field People Services and Restaurant Leaders.

  • Act as Brand Ambassador by promoting job opportunities through relentless external recruiting, attracting premium talent (finding us great people to work with!).

  • Update, design and manage recruiting procedures and processes to include pre-screening, partner on interviewing, background screen and offers coordinating with Field People Services Team.

  • Consult with Field Leaders and Field People Services Team to determine needs and provide/implement recruitment strategies that support the overall strategic priorities.

  • Leverage on-line and social media (job boards, LinkedIN, CareerBuilder, Indeed, Google, etc.)

  • Develop and execute appropriate recruiting programs to attract talent from various sources; i.e., intern program/college recruiting programs, employee referral programs, etc.

  • Use applicant tracking systems (talentReef) and other recruiting software to track applicants through the selection phase to on-boarding.

  • Partner, develop and manage relationships with third-party recruiting agencies in the event Krystal requires targeted assistance in hard-to-fill markets.

  • Assist in development, updating and managing company's recruiting collateral (Hiring Day guidelines, Interview guides, evaluation guides, etc). and employment branding materials.

  • Assist in developing and administering the recruiting budget, including job boards, agencies, referral programs, etc.

  • Create reports that have the workforce statistics weekly, advising of trends and concerns.

  • Ability to recruit and manage a requisition load of 50+ full time openings concurrently (hourly & salary).

  • Conduct market scan and ensure incorporating best practices and competitive approach for a high performing organization

  • Be the liaison between external partners and hiring managers at restaurant

  • Provide data on candidates around recruiting sources, onboarding, and turnover rates.

  • Oversee invoicing as it pertains to anything under the recruiting bucket (marketing, point of purchase, external partners, etc.)

  • Able to intake and track candidates at all corporate stores for all positions to ensure the stores are staffed. Keep up-to-date data on all open management positions (Leave of Absence, upgrades, new openings, etc.)

  • Be knowledgeable of the industry and best practices to create strategies so that restaurant has a competitive advantage in the industry.

  • Oversee all open positions at restaurant

  • Special Projects, as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • College Degree in a related field or the equivalent relevant experience.

  • SHRM certification a plus



Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • 8+ years' previous multi-site, Corporate, HR and Food & Beverage Industry experience preferred with Quick Service Restaurant ( QSR) experience required

  • Proven track record staffing markets and recruiting talent in-person or from a central location

  • Knowledgeable of recruiting field management at all levels and hourly team members

  • Experience with various social recruiting strategies and tactics

  • Proficient-level of understanding in multiple ATS systems

  • Knowledgeable of laws and regulations regarding hiring practices

  • Ability to implement recruiting standards and processes

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve positive results while working independently and with minimal supervision
