Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial project management, cash forecasting and preparing Board meeting presentations for each of the corporate entities. Additional responsibilities include financial, operational and cash management analytics.

Job Description

  • Produce detailed daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasts in coordination with various department leads to ensure that accurate reporting is being generated and communicated
  • Maintaining the corporate financial model for planning and analysis with consideration of the following
  • Transaction activity and trends
  • Planned financial closes
  • General business liquidity sources and uses
  • Work with Corporate Accounting, Operations, Development, Asset Management, and Tax Manager in estimating the costs and fees to establish preliminary pro-forma budget-to-actual information
  • Ensure budget-to-actual projections are updated and refined as projects progress and make recommendations and modifications where appropriate
  • Evaluate project financial performance by comparing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Continuously improve functionality of the financial model for planning and analysis through the use of data and analytics tools
  • Provide project details and support in packaging projects for affiliates, investors, lenders, and joint venture partners

Requirements

  • Accounting, Finance, or similar field degree required. MBA preferred
  • 3 - 5 + years of experience with an understanding of financial and real estate development fundamentals
  • High proficiency in financial modeling techniques
  • Exceptional analytical skills with careful attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate confidence in the ability to interact with senior management team as well as current and potential clients
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and oversight
  • Exceptional technical skills and working knowledge of MS Office
