Risk & Controls Consultant - Position Description

Bring value and assist our clients with risk, controls and governance related projects. Comprehensive Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) expertise is required. Specifically, assessing gaps, development of control framework and implementation.

Must Have

  • A deep knowledge of the risk and control space with the ability to identify areas of risk and recommend appropriate controls.
  • Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) background within publicly traded company.
  • Excellent documentation skills with the ability to identify gaps and help work through action plans. Utilize and input documentation into systems and tools. Effectively challenge management/SMEs on potential risks & controls should be identified and documented.
  • Accounting and finance background with the business acumen to provide support on a variety of work-streams within corporate CFO organizations.


  • "Big 4" Public accounting background
  • CPA, CIA or CFE (or other audit related designations)
  • Industry experience in the following: financial services, oil & energy and public accounting
  • Internal Audit experience
  • Experience briefing C-level management
