As a Grant Accountant on a contract-to-hire basis, you will support with maintaining grant portfolios, assisting the team with areas of AP, treasury, and payroll.

Grant Accountant responsibilities:

• Handling accounting for all grant portfolios and preparing budgets, revenue and handling carry-over funds year over year.
• Prepares invoicing and billing.
• Evaluates restricted fund activity and ensures compliance.
• Prepares vendor withholding payment, sales and use tax payment, refrund returns, and other tax report filings.
• Serves as back-up for AP and payroll.
• Supporting treasury needs as needed.
• Helping with month-end matters and supporting the team where needed.
• Developing, maintaining, and analyzing budgets; preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
