Project Scope: Over the course of several years, our client has acquired multiple hospital systems. As part of the mergers with these hospital systems, our client has placed adjacent networking subnets in multiple locations. These locations have Dual Virtual Routing and Forwarding (Dual-VRF) network connectivity, Internet Protocol (IP) address overlaps, and devices remaining on the previous network and Active Directory (AD) domain. Vaco has been contracted to complete the merger of these locations by migrating all equipment to our client's standard subnets and migrate all Active Directory accounts to their Centralized Active Directory domain. Upon completion of a successful migration, decommissioning of the pre-existing IP space and AD infrastructure is required.
Responsibilities:The Project Managers will be the spear of the projects for each facility we are migrating. They will travel onsite independently to perform discovery of each facility. They will work closely with local IT to uncover the layout of the facility and inventory of technology. Upon discovery, they will report back all data to the Technical Operations Director and Project Director and come up with a plan and timeline for conversion. They will coordinate with the client's stakeholders and local IT to find the best time for the conversions. The PMs will also be responsible for putting together their team of engineers that will be traveling and ensuring travel plans are arranged accordingly.
The PMs will participate in weekly status meetings with the stakeholders where they will report out project plans, report any blockers, and report status updates after each conversion.
It is critical for the PMs to have healthcare experience and an understanding of critical systems downtime.
