Job Description

Staff Title: HR Assistant

Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Working Conditions: Full time (M-F) Office and Community Business Settings

Position Summary - Responsible for assisting the Director of HR with the daily administrative functions in the Department including credentialing the clinical staff and the physician review consultants.

Physical Requirements:
? Visual and Auditory comprehension & function for written & verbal communication.
? Ability to access various settings, negotiate architectural barriers (i.e. stairs) in office and community settings
? Ability use Public Transportation to commute to work

? 2 years college degree
? 1 year of experience in the Human Resources field
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Excellent time management and organizational skills
? Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
? Knowledge of HR employment related laws/practices a plus
? Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint
? Detail oriented and highly organized work skills
? Demonstrate a professional, respectful, demeanor and style
? Demonstrate logical reasoning and critical thinking skills

? Coordinate the process of recruiting new personnel by working closely with the hiring managers and recruitment companies
? Post and maintain job openings on job boards
? Schedule and coordinate the pre-employment testing with outside vendor
? Conduct employment verification for new hire
? Responsible for preparing new hire orientation packets
? Prepare, update and maintain new employees' personnel folders
? Conduct new hire orientation, HIPAA and office safety section
? Coordinate the credentialing of Clinical & Non Clinical staff upon hire and monthly
? Monitor the clinical staff licensing renewal and compliance for all staff including full-time, part-time, consultants, and overseas reviewers
? Prepare HIPAA and Sexual Harassment annual training packets and assist the Compliance Officer during training
? Coordinate daily tasks with the HR Coordinator to make sure all work is completed and in compliance
? Perform filing as needed

Assist the Director of HR with special projects and other office related functions
