Job Description

Job summary: The primary duty of the Import/Export Representative is to develop relationships with carriers to generate repeat sales and maximize margins. Candidate must be comfortable working within several computer systems efficiently, working with multiple monitors, multitasking, with minimal error.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Generate new carrier base by using the dray websites and other online tools
• Negotiate contract and spot market lanes with carriers
• Communicate shipment specific details directly to carrier and driver via various methods

Required Hours of the Job: Average work day is 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. After hours and/or weekends may be required to meet customer's needs.

Preferences:1-year transportation and logistics experience
