As an Insurance Verification Specialist, you will be responsible for verifying, patient insurance coverage to ensure fundamental procedures are covered by an individual's provider. You will also be in charge of accurately entering insurance information into the computer system, research, follow up, and resolve open and pending authorizations in a timely manner, as well as contact patients regarding financial obligations.

Other responsibilities of the Insurance Verification Specialist role include:

* Documenting activity in patient accounts
* Obtaining prior authorization for procedures
* Answering phones for incoming calls, and making outgoing calls
* Maintaining strict confidentiality of patient and practice related business
* Updating patient benefit information, and verifying that existing information is accurate
* All additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

High School Diploma required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
At least 2 years of insurance verification experience
Previous working experience with all payer types
