Job Description

The IT Project Manager role plans, organizes, monitors and controls projects using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure efficient and effective project completion. Develop and communicate potential risk mitigation strategies to IT leadership. Effectively communicates with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed. Partners with the business to develop and transition plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain the change. Responsible for updates and project documents. Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES:

  • IT Project Manager will act as lead for corresponding programs and projects. Performs project management responsibilities relating to information technology implementations, upgrades, conversion and business driven initiatives.
  • Partners with IT and Business leadership, functional teams, and SMEs to create business requirements for technology solutions.
  • Assists with technology estimates, manages low to moderate complexity technology solutions for projects to a full-scale deployment in a live environment.
  • Manages to timelines and communicates project status to various levels of internal stakeholders.
  • Use the right questions and tools to uncover root causes to business challenges, identify opportunities, and make recommendations.
  • Identifies and communicates risks and issues impacting business rules, functional requirements and specifications.
  • Participates in managing the scope of applications and related changes.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders on the evaluation of the feasibility, effort and costs to implement requirements.
  • Interacts with internal and external peers and managers to exchange information related to areas of specialization. May serves as a liaison between development, quality assurance and non-technical stakeholders during the development and deployment process.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects of varying size.
  • Build positive give and take relationships with stakeholders.
  • Travel to other PCNA locations as necessary.

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of PCNA resources assigned on the projects.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of vendors and contractors employed on the projects.
  • Create and maintain resource plans for the above mentioned resources.
  • Effectively resolves problems and roadblocks before they occur.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in technology
  • 5+ years minimum experience in managing technology projects
  • Experience with industry standard PPM tools or experience managing projects in MS Project (not just Excel or PowerPoint)
  • Experience planning/organizing/monitoring project performance using appropriate program management tools and techniques in alignment with standards Project Management Framework (i.e. Waterfall and Agile)
