Vaco Technology is currently looking for an IT Infrastructure Project Manager for a long-term contract role with one of our clients located in Indianapolis. This position will require someone to be 100% onsite at the client location and then transition to a hybrid work schedule after 6 months. Candidates must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensures technologies are implemented in adherence to IT standards and policies.
  • Works with project stakeholders to ensure decisions align with the infrastructure strategies defined by the IT Infrastructure Program Manager.
  • Ensure successful and cooperative completion of tasks and projects and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Communicate project and team status to internal and external audiences to keep the project team informed. Primary accountability is to manage small to medium complexity IT Infrastructure Projects.
  • Responsible for all aspects of project management keeping projects on time, within budget, and within the scope
  • This Project Manager must understand the technology and have come up through the IT Engineering ranks to be successful in this role.
  • Will manage the IT resource teams (Network Engineers, IT Engineers) and drive their tasks.
  • Will maintain IT vendor and user relationships and communicate status and problems in a timely, professional manner as evidenced by status reports.
  • Establishes and maintains positive client/vendor relations.
  • Will help facilitate global IT relocation efforts remotely.
  • Will help facilitate phone system installs and deploying a global VPN solution
  • Will facilitate the refreshing of routers, switches, and W.A.P's globally

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years working as an IT Infrastructure Project Manager
  • Minimum 3-5 years past professional experience as a Network Engineer working with switches, Routers, VOIP, and Wireless Access Points
  • Minimum 3-5 years Windows Server Administration
  • Must have experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues
  • PMP Certification is strongly desired
  • Cisco and Microsoft Certifications are also strongly desired
