Position Title: Procurement Representative Level 4 - IT Categories

Reports to: Director of Sourcing and Procurement

Job Summary:
The Procurement Representative is responsible for supplier and category management, reporting and analytics, maintenance and user support for the Procurement System(s) and Procurement related processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. In addition, this position develops, maintains, and interacts with a variety of departments, levels and external suppliers.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily:

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for facilitating and managing IT contracts in collaboration with IT and the internal User community. This role will be responsible for:
  • Facilitating Procurement processes and Supplier Relationship Management related to IT Categories of spend
  • Reviewing and negotiating contracts to include T&Cs, SLAs, and remedies for hardware and software contracts
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and facilitating RFx processes
  • Maintaining IT contracts using a CLM tool and processes, and providing proactive recommendations to stakeholders. Proactively reviews existing contract details (i.e. upcoming termination dates, service levels, legal entity ownership, etc.) and makes recommendations to stakeholders for renegotiated terms.
  • Provides leadership in bringing timely closure to initiatives using Procurement practices to include sound qualitative, quantitative and collaborative evaluation methods.
  • Provides support to continuous improvement initiatives to include standardization of Procurement practices, maintenance of standard operating procedures, training and assisting others with Procurement processes and related activities
  • Provides support, and maintenance for Procurement system(s) to include; implementation of new systems, training and assisting users, improving and maintaining data for category groups, facilitating PO and receiving discrepancy closure, and supplier profile maintenance
  • Conducts supplier reporting and analytics.
  • Executes Purchase Order placement (as needed)
  • Models, promotes and reinforces the consistent use of company's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values and Mission

  • Knowledge and experience with the application of Procurement fundamentals and practices
  • Ability to think logically while interpreting and analyzing problems assigned or encountered. Ability to identify complex problems, research, guide, and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products skills including; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or Eight or more years of professional experience in Procurement or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years applicable experience required. Eight or more years preferred
  • One or more years of experience working with technology-related software/hardware/services agreements. Experience with IT RFxs and Project Management preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Travel:

  • Up to fifteen percent with possibility to include overnight required

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's license required
  • Professional Certification from an accredited source preferred (ISM, ASCM)

Physical Requirements:

  • This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
  • This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
  • Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
  • Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina

Work Environment:

  • This job is generally performed in a professional office environment
  • Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
