Job Description

CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Achieves a high level of customer satisfaction, both internal and external.
  • Proficient in the use of project management tools to plan, schedule, and manage projects. Uses tools to keep project status and documentation current. Uses tools to document project for historical reference.
  • Acquires and directs associates and outside resources for projects to accomplish desired results. Verifies that tasks assigned to resources are accomplished in a timely manner with the appropriate documentation.
  • Communicates to the proper managers ensuring that they are up-to-date on the project status and goals of the project.
  • Identifies and recommends solutions for resources (hardware, software, training) required on projects.
  • Budgets for projects, identifies ROI, and maintains accountability for all funds spent on projects.
  • Designs, documents and conducts training for internally developed applications and purchased applications and tools. Provides on-going support for existing systems. Documents application use and provides as part of help system.
  • Increases the department's effectiveness by participating in recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, disciplining and retaining.
  • Oversees the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of programs, policies procedures, goals, systems and processes within team.
  • Assigns accountabilities; planning and monitoring and appraises job results.
  • Creates and fosters a team-oriented and collaborative work environment.

IMPORTANT RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides monthly measurement and tracking reports.
  • Corrects Information Systems issues in a timely manner. Reviews Help Desk issues and establishes assignments to self and team members. Updates documentation appropriately and provides as part of help system.
  • Assumes responsibility for ongoing self-improvement and participates fully in all training programs.
  • Anticipates potential problems and acts proactively.
  • Demonstrates creativity by finding new and/or better solutions to new or recurring problems.
KEY RESULTS
  • Business Applications meet the needs of the organization.
  • New systems are prioritized, planned, implemented and results measured as needed.
  • Defined requirements and scope of project are clearly documented in writing. These documents must be signed off by the Associate (one end-user decision maker) requesting the project as well as the Director of Information Systems.
  • Project plans are created, maintained, and met for all phases of a project including well-defined timelines.
  • Documentation on slippage of project defined and kept current for any manager to review.
  • Associates working on the project understand the fundamental phases of the project and understand the desired goal of the project. Associates "Buy in" to the project and understand how the project will deliver a competitive advantage.
  • Regular project review meetings are held with "key" associates on the team to get updates and verify project schedules.
  • Project deliverables and solutions are reviewed with associates impacted prior to development / implementation to verify that the solution meets requirements.
