Job Description

The Controller will provide guidance to the accounting team and ensure accuracy and effectiveness of the general accounting function for the organization. This position requires the individual to work fully onsite at this time.

Key responsibilities include:

SUMMARY
The Controller will manage all of the accounting and finance functions for the organization while overseeing a small team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Prepare monthly journal entries for month end close, including accruals, amortizations and any other that may be required at the local business level.
  • Reconcile monthly accounts by way of preparing balance sheet reconciliations for various businesses and provide explanations for unusual balances.
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Prepare financial statements.
  • Provide support for the external financial audit by preparing audit schedules and support documentation as required for designated accounts, and providing explanations as needed.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Other responsibilities such as: bank reconciliations, recording fixed asset acquisitions and other specific requests as required to support the business.


    • QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
    *Controller leadership experience required
    *Prior manufacturing industry experience required
    *Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and Master's Degree is a plus
    * Proficient in business related software: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Strong knowledge of MS office with advance MS Excel skills required.
