Job Purpose / Objective:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for project management and delivery, including: planning, scheduling, execution, issues/risk management, and closing activities. In this role you will manage and deliver high priority projects through effective communication with business units, IT project teams and operations, and service providers at one or more US locations. Flexible work arrangements with the options of a remote or remote/hybrid environment are available.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects with varying technologies in multiple areas of the business
  • Utilize strong MS Project expertise Smartsheet to manage, create, and build effort-based plans
  • Experience leading complex, enterprise level projects
  • Track and monitor project progress, risks, and issues and escalate appropriately
  • Proactively manage project teams that are responsible for project deliverables
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, including process optimization, risk mitigation and technology utilization
  • Perform moderate vendor management activities
  • Build a strong rapport with your project teams; be able to motivate and inspire
  • Work in a remote or remote/hybrid work environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems Analysis, or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience in a PM-related role required
  • 3 years' of related work experience required, 7+ years strongly preferred
  • PMP, PMI-ACP or relevant certifications preferred
  • Scrum certifications is a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with business stakeholders and leaders, IT project planning, delivery, and execution using Traditional and Agile SDLC methodologies
  • Experience with MS Teams, Smartsheet, Confluence, Jira, and/or other team/project collaboration tools
  • Ability to work in and lead a project team, while communicating and coordinating with peer teams
  • Ability to effectively work with a remote team and manage remote workers
  • Ability to formulate, document and recommend new policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • Ability to travel as required by business and on-call availability
