Property Accountant in Irvine, CA at Vaco

Job Description

We are actively looking for both a Property Accountant and a Senior Property Accountant. Minimum 2+ years of related real estate industry experience and Bachelors Degree is required. Looking for experience with Yardi or MRI. Position will manage a portfolio of real estate holdings. The Property Accountants are responsible for the day-to-day financial activities for multiple properties including daily transaction oversight, cash management, and preparation monthly financial reports. Positions are open to grow and acquisitions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare & analyze financial statements and coordinate month end close.
• Calculate & prepare journal entries, accruals, and GL/bank account reconciliation.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure daily activity is recorded.
• Post any month-end adjustments as necessary.
• Assist with preparation of schedules and support for external annual audit.
• Assist with Accounts Payable.
• Cash management.
• Review project level budget and variance analysis.
• This position will also be responsible of the portfolio level financial statements and review property accounting, leases, loans, and performance.

Requirements:

• Have to like and work well in a great positive work environment
• Solid mastery of Yardi or MRI & strong communication skills.
• Minimum 2+ years relevant real estate industry experience

Pay Range:

Pay range for Property Accountant is $70,000 to $80,000

Pay range for Sr. Property Accountant is $80,000 to 95,000
