Senior Quality Improvement Leaders (SQIL) are key change agents that drive quality improvements across the organization. This SQIL position is seen as a stepping stone toward quality and operations management for the right individual when coupled with the right experience, leadership skills, education and results. SQILs will identify and drive quality improvements to ensure compliance with our quality system requirements delivering on the brand promise of Zero Customer Disappointments.

Quality Assurance/Internal Control Environment


  • Provides quality systems and methods leadership and ownership across the company.
  • Engages with management to drive methods and systems that deliver on the brand promise of Zero Customer Disappointments.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with a good track record of selling ideas and influencing the leadership team and associates on project teams.
  • Quality expertise and lean kaizen facilitation skills.
  • Leads cross functional teams to deliver results on tactical and strategic quality efforts.

Audits, Training, and Management Review


  • Incorporate all corporate quality policies and customer requirements within our operations and custom solutions workflows.
  • Train and mentor associates in the application of the Quality System, Improvement system, and Continuous Improvement methods.
  • Manage/coordinate desk and on-site audits, customer, vendor, and internal audits.
  • Applies good knowledge of Disciplined Problem Solving (DPS) methodology toward the corrective action process.
  • Visit complex service CS customers and vendors to evaluate and determine business risks.

KPI Metrics


  • Develops and owns metrics analysis and portfolio of projects for light manufacturing and business quality efforts.


Performance will be measured on the following:

  • Reinforce a quality assurance/awareness culture in daily tasks of performing associate job duties with specific examples of averting potential problems before a customer disappointment occurs.
  • KPI metrics will identify trends that will support a constant flow of future kaizen events.
  • Complete all required annual audits and addressing non-conformances and opportunities for improvement using disciplined problem solving (DPS) methodology.
  • Create new KPI metric dashboards that help identify operational bottlenecks before they become customer disappointments.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.


  • BS degree in a technical field
  • 5-7 years of company experience in quality, engineering, or a technical field with a quality focus.
  • 2+ years in a leadership position
  • Functional understanding of multiple business processes including Quality Assurance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Information Services.
  • Experience in corrective and preventative quality improvement in business and manufacturing processes.
  • Organizational planning and communication skills for a diverse group of disciplines.
  • Proven problem solving capabilities
  • Computer and office software skills.


  • BS in Engineering
  • Certification in project management and/or quality management.
