JOB SUMMARY

Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Restaurant Systems Administrator for a direct hire opportunity in Dallas, TX. This position is 100% remote but candidate must be local to Dallas, TX. The Restaurant Systems Administrator will oversee the day-to-day maintenance and programming of operational restaurant systems. This consists of Point of Sales System, Online Ordering platforms, Kitchen Display Systems, Food Cost Management and Labor Management Systems. This candidate will ensure that all standards are adhered to and executed consistently with company direction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate knowledge base articles for any issues that are not already documented to help reduce future troubleshooting and research time
  • Monitor and manage all installed systems and infrastructure
  • Maintain a programming calendar of desired promotions, menu items, pricing and tax changes
  • Connect regularly with Ops Services and vender teams to make sure of integrity of PLU Programming
  • Issue support for company supported third party technology platforms. These include (but not limited to) LMS, Loyalty, oven scheduling, and temperature monitoring tools.
  • Occasional evening and weekend availability for technical support to restaurant locations
  • Administer and support related computing environments. This includes computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
  • Will assist Director of Restaurant Technology with projects as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or 5+ years of relevant experience
  • 3 years of experience in a technical support role preferably in the restaurant industry.
  • Familiarity with Restaurant Information Systems or Systems Administration through work experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, resolve hardware, software, and other network/system problems
  • Knowledge of product life cycle and strong understanding of the role of methodology.
  • Foundational understanding of restaurant business functions.
  • Strong customer service focus and detailed oriented individual
  • Ability to work well within deadlines in a time sensitive environment
