Job Description

PERM
Local to New York City (Someone who knows the area and the buisness)
Flexible on salary

-Looking for someone who has experience with sales within the elevator industry
-This person will be generating leads and creating new buisness through relationship building
-This person would be responsible for going to tradeshows and round table discussions
-Needs a good sales personality

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop customer relations through regular sales visits and communications based on geographic territories
  • Identify and generate leads, create/implement strategic action plans, and develop the accounts as customers
  • Create sales and achieve the identified sales and gross profit expectations
  • Use of SAP CRM (Customer & Contact Management tool) in compliance with current company policies
  • Maintain Customer information files and notes within the CRM system in accordance with company policy
  • Participate in product and service promotions from external and internal sources
  • Create and process technical documents, proposals, and sales orders in accordance with company policy
  • Resolve any customer issues, problems, or complaints
  • Pursue increasing knowledge of the industry, markets, and competitors
  • Support account terms and assist in account collection if required; assist in the determination credits and/or returns
  • Enhance vendor relations by supporting programs and working with their representatives
  • Work alongside all departments and participate in all sales or Company meetings
  • Produce periodic sales plans strategies, action summaries and other reports as required by management
  • Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress, and preparation
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related degree preferred
  • 3+ years outside sales experience in the industrial machinery and equipment field required. Experience in the elevator industry highly desired
  • Great interpersonal skills - Displays honesty, ethics, and integrity at all times
  • Strong skills in prospecting, active listening, problem solving, understanding the prospect's decision-making process, proposal development and presentation, account retention, verbal and written communication
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office and Windows OS including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, popular web browsers and search engines, and Windows Explorer
  • Must have prompt and regular attendance, a sense of urgency, the will to win, self-motivation and discipline, the ability to develop a rapport, have balance in life, and be a team player
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD highly preferred but not required; Ability to read and decipher mechanical drawings required
  • SAP Business One experience a plus
  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurance and dependable vehicle with ability to travel domestically up to 50%
  • Minimum of 40 hours per week
