What you need to have for this Senior Accountant role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (required), MBA (preferred)
  • Experience in the field of property management, housing, or consumer/business services
  • 4+ years experience as a Senior Accountant, CPA (preferred)
  • Strong analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills including performance analysis, identifying root causes
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to maneuver through ambiguity
  • Strong systems skills including MS Excel, ERP systems, and analysis tools
  • Comprehensive, strong communication skills with all levels of management

What you will be doing in this Senior Accountant role:

  • Responsible for complete and accurate General Ledger accounting and month end close. This may include monthly journal entries, accruals, fixed asset accounting, and other account reconciliations, including A/R, A/P, Cash, and inventory.
  • Preparing and/or reviewing reconciliations of various general ledger accounts and ensuring timely follow-up of reconciling items
  • Create best practice procedures for accounting activities and drive process improvements, utilizing technology to improve efficiency
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the Staff Accountants
