Senior Accountant responsibilities:

Ensures the accurate, complete and timely recordings of gross margin by reviewing sales postings (including various types of commissions and volume incentives) and accruing vessel operating costs. Maintains related general ledger accounts (including Inventory) and monthly cost and profit reporting through close coordination with Distribution department and Export Documentation teams. Provides related and / or requested analyses, reconciliations and recommendations to senior management. Accuracy and timeliness are essential to the management decision process.
Maintains accurate, complete and timely recordings of product purchases from the members. Reconciles domestic inventory on a monthly basis with each load port.
Maintains company intranet on an accurate and timely basis, assuring that financial results are accurately reflected. Assists the Controller in the yearly budget preparation. Provides business forecast and budget related analyses monthly, quarterly or as requested.
Processes on-line banking payments. Processes and records derivative hedge settlement transactions on an accurate and timely basis.
Assist Controller in preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting as well as answers to post issuance questions from Board, Members, Banks, etc. Assist Controller in preparation of monthly or required reporting to the senior management.
Prepares all necessary schedules for responsible areas for the annual audit. Prepares and follows up required audit confirmations. Assist Controller in preparing any other schedules for the annual audit, as requested.
Maintains schedules for internal employee support functions and reports including voyage cost results and petty cash maintenance.
Actively responds to any special project requested by the Controller.
