About the Role:

Looking for highly motivated and skilled individuals to become impact players on the development of a spacecraft system that contains specialized electronic sensors and all the associated supporting circuitry.

The more of these items you know the better (any order):

  • Linux Kernel Driver Development in an ARMV8 environment.
  • Network devices, Block Devices, Character Device drivers, DMA is a plus!
  • Linux Application Development (test/examples for your driver)
  • Linux BSP Creation, Formal Release Process
  • Development using Virtual Machines
  • Secure Boot, Crypto, and related items
  • Linux Yocto or BuildRoot System (Xilinx Flavor)
  • ARMV8 Hypervisor/Supervisor
  • CMMI Level 3 to Level 5 Experience
  • JTAG Debug, Board Bring up, and can you read a schematic?
  • Have you worked with VHDL/Verilog Based FPGA designs?
  • Build Automation (Nightly builds)
  • Lab Tools: Scopes, Logic Analyzers, Network Sniffers
  • Experience with CortexM series, Microblaze and RISCV CPU sw development
  • Linux to Microcontroller Communications
    • Interfaces: SPI, I2C, UARTs, ADC, DAC, GPIO, DMA, timers, high speed serial,
    • Camera Interfaces, Image Processing

Other Pluses:

  • Experience with OpenGL, CUDA and related GPU Graphics
  • Camera Image Processing, Camera Link
  • Network Protocols (Layer 2 work)
  • Cryptography


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) is highly desired.
  • Combination of experience and education in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
  • Disciplines desired include hardware (digital, mixed signal), RF, FPGA, and embedded software.
