A South Bay professional services company is looking for a Senior Accountant to add to their team due to company growth via acquisition. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accounting for a number of assigned operations and will act as that particular entity's Controller. The Senior Accountant should be able to work with little supervision, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to analyze their work in order to understand how it makes sense and to make it better. What do you need for this Senior Accountant role?

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5 years of accounting experience in multi-unit, retail, or company with multiple entities
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Advanced Excel
• Active CPA is great
• Public accounting experience gets you special attention

What will you be doing in this Senior Accountant role?

• Monthly journal entries
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Review and clarify accounts
• Month, quarter, and year-end close for each entity and intercompany transactions
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages
• Assists with annual audit
• Assist in the preparation of the year end audit file and financials
• Maintains the GL
• Assists with ad hoc projects and special projects
• Guides and reviews the work of junior staff
