Job Description

The IT Manager is responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, support, and maintenance of the network and end user environment for the multi-location company. They will manage the deployment, monitoring, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, network, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals across all breweries and taprooms. They will work independently to provide superior customer experience through tactical troubleshooting, monitoring, and proactive incident resolution. We are seeking a self-starter, who is motivated to go above and beyond and grow with the company.

Key Responsibilities

The IT Manager will be responsible for all Tier 2 and above support and maintenance functions including, but not limited to:

  • Create and manage users/groups in Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange as well as group policy management.
  • Proactively manage Azure based virtual machines, establish OS build standards, and performs maintenance and patching.
  • Network troubleshooting and expansion.
  • MES environment deployment, expansion and maintenance.
  • Telephony administration.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor adherence to security policies & procedures.
  • Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions. Identifies and analyzes organization needs and defines project scope, requirements, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
  • Monitor connectivity, integrity, and performance of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes at remote sites.
  • Troubleshoots hardware and software problems, takes appropriate corrective action with IT vendors in performing complex testing, support and troubleshooting functions.
  • Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision.
  • Administers the Department's expense budget, within budgetary guidelines to contribute to cost-effective operation of the company.
  • Keeps current on new developments in information technology, and plans for future upgrades and organizational changes. Stays abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Management of 3rd Party Providers

  • Contracts with management specialists, technical personnel, or vendors to solve problems. Reconciles consultants' statements of work, timesheets, and invoices.
  • Ensures users/customers are provided professional, courteous, and timely support and service.
  • Administers vendor, outsourced and consultant contracts and service agreements.

Training & Support

  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, department heads and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
  • Directs IT system and software education and training programs for organization.
  • Conducts site set-up, user training, hardware/software installation, maintenance and support and documentation of hardware/software logs and operating procedures.
  • Engage customers in a professional manner, resolving requests and incidents with a high sense of urgency and ownership
  • Occasional Tier 1 support.

Asset Management

  • Practice asset management for IT hardware, software and equipment.
  • Update all documentation, execute firmware and patch deployment to all devices.
  • Responsible for all hardware and software vendor evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.
  • Plans and controls organization, hardware acquisitions, and facilities to ensure that they are consistent with the business plan of the company.

Project Management

  • Coordinates all infrastructure technology resources, including staff, equipment, vendors, and consultants, across one or more projects.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Establishes project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Leads infrastructure projects from initiation through implementation including phases such as planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and close-out.
  • Manage financial aspects of the IT department, including purchasing, budgeting and budget review.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • 5-years of Operational IT Support experience with progressive levels of responsibility.
  • 2-years supporting a corporate/enterprise network.
  • 2-years administering servers in either a virtual or physical environment
  • Required experience and knowledge across various server, application, and network technologies including:
    • Deployment and maintenance of Enterprise level Azure based virtual machines.
    • AD Federation Services, Microsoft Exchange online in Office 365.
    • Microsoft Azure Active Directory
    • Traditional Active Directory
    • Layer 2 and 3 network administration
    • Network deployment, extension and maintenance
    • Office 365 configuration, administration; and employee training.
    • Microsoft software, patch/upgrades installation and maintenance.
    • Manufacturing systems
    • Cisco Switch gear
    • Experience with Cisco Meraki OS
    • Firewall configuration/administration
    • Other cloud technologies such as: VMWare and Citrix
