As a Staff Accountant, you will play an integral role in accurately preparing our client's accounting records and performance. You will be responsible for a variety of general accounting functions as well as providing accounting support for senior staff if needed.

Staff Accountant responsibilities:

  • Oversee and assist in month-end activities. Help review and/or prepare monthly financial statements for various entities.
      • Review job cost-related payables for accurate cost coding and adherence to payment terms
      • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
      • Other reconciliations as needed
    • Protect assets; maintain B/S credibility by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls and balance sheet reconciliations
    • Help prepare quarterly and annual Budgets in response to the Company's business plan: monitor company and departments' performance against the budget
    • Prepare check requests and check deposits, miscellaneous reporting updates, and general ledger journal entries
    • Review requests for vendors, including contract analysis, pay application review, and approvals
    • Prepare supporting documentation for audits and interact with external auditors


    • A Bachelor Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting
    • General ledger experience, knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, and their proper application to business transactions
    • Experience with multi-entity corporate groups and consolidation
    • Ability to work without direct supervision and efficiently manage tasks and time
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel as well as finance and accounting software applications
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive data with discretion
