Job Description

Vaco Financial is assisting our publicy traded client based in Memphis, Tennessee in their search for a Tax Advisor International Compliance.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in business, finance or related discipline. Five (5) years of directly related experience within a tax/financial discipline. Knowledge of large service or business operations required. Other Skills considered a plus include:

  • Strong technical knowledge of specific international taxation such as:
    • Form 1118, 5471, 8858 & 8865 preparation/review
    • Foreign currency gain/loss calculations and translation adjustments
    • Earnings & Profits calculations and deemed inclusions
    • Foreign Tax Credit analysis and Foreign Source Income determination
    • Subpart F analysis and Section 78 Gross up calculation
  • Partnership taxation
  • Knowledge of CorpTax preparation software
  • CPA or advanced degree in accounting or finance
  • Excellent problem solving, written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review, analyze and determine application of federal, state, and international tax regulations to ensure company compliance with governmental tax regulations.
  • Create detailed documentation to support tax positions
  • Designs and implement tax process improvements under the supervision of the Tax Manager to streamline and rationalize manually intensive tax processes by utilizing integrated financial, operational, and information systems.
  • Analyzes and interprets information from diverse sources to form tax positions for multiple companies.
  • Creates detailed documentation and findings in support of tax filings.
  • Consults with management on tax issues and provides tax recommendations
  • Be aware of and assist when needed with adherence to department policies regarding managing, updating, and ensuring tax work is in compliance with required SOX control objectives.
  • Assist with preparation of tax footnotes including consolidated schedules that go into the footnote.
