Technical Accounting Manager

About the Opportunity:

You will be a key member of the team primarily responsible for establishing and maintaining the Company's technical accounting policies, facilitating technical accounting trainings, and provide support on projects. The ideal candidate is thoroughly familiar with U.S. GAAP and technical accounting subjects, such as revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensations, debt and equity instruments, property plant & equipment, acquisitions, variable interest entities, going concern and impairments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on accounting literature pertaining to new business initiatives, contracts and/or transactions. Accounting transactions include, but not limited to, mergers and acquisition, equity offerings, leases, debt, stock-based compensation, and revenue recognition
  • Interpret U.S. GAAP accounting standards, including internal control considerations for new, material, and/or complex, unusual transactions or agreements
  • Analyze new and proposed accounting standards and determine the impact on the company and implement new accounting standards, as required
  • Support M&A activity from due diligence to Day 1 accounting for business combination or asset acquisitions and assist with technical accounting items post-closing.
  • Prepare high-quality accounting memos for significant accounting transactions and provide guidance to operational finance & accounting teams to ensure significant transactions are properly accounted for and disclosed in the financial statements

Qualifications:

  • CPA with minimum of 5 years of Big 4 public accounting experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and FASB codification and pronouncements
  • Ability to identify, research and resolve accounting issues; experience in implementing changes in policies and procedures preferred
  • Ability to clearly and concisely document, and effectively communicate (verbal and written) sophisticated topics to a wide and diverse audience
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and internal controls framework
