Job Description

Role: Technical Project Manager
CONTRACT, 12-18+ months on W2
Hybrid onsite position in Raleigh, NC
2-3 days onsite
Hourly pay up to $58/hr. with benefits provided through Vaco.

Requirements:

7+ years professional experience, 3+ in a technical project management role.
Industry experience: banking, finance, credit union

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble key players for the project team, direct, motivate and manage the project team
  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives
  • Meet regularly with technical teams and stakeholders to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
  • Guide the research and evaluation process for technology solutions.
  • Clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Leads projects or portions of very complex projects. Directs and coordinates the work activities of project team.
  • Develop a project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Manage and communicate changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate issues, risks and roadblocks to management as needed.
  • Delegate responsibility and tasks; ensure scope/requirements aligns with deliverables; establish and update project plans
  • Build and maintains relationships with leadership and acts as a trusted advisor.
  • Drive planning at the various organizational levels to ensure projects are on track/resourced
  • Establish project governance and communication with stakeholders
  • Ensure timetable and deliverable schedules are understood and communicated
  • Manage dependencies proactively, coordinate across teams to resolve issues and mitigate risks
  • Interview sponsors during the project intake process to better understand the proposed undertaking and plan next steps
