Job Description

The Vice President of Finance will have significant responsibilities with the internal financial team including financials, treasury, tax, financial planning, and collaboration with deal teams on client marketing materials and financial models. The Vice President of Finance will report directly to the President and COO and will be responsible for developing, managing, and scaling the firm's finance and accounting function as well as playing an integral role in the business strategy and planning of continued growth for the firm.


  • Work with the COO to lead the finance, accounting, and administrative functions including generating accurate and timely financial and operational reports
  • Manage the firm's general ledger including oversight of AP, AR, journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and month-end close procedures
  • Develop financial best practices and standard procedures and controls
  • Generate financial models and forecasts, monitor key financial performance indicators, and provide recommendations and solutions for improvements and efficiencies
  • Create, maintain, and track annual budgets and forecast while actively incorporating feedback from senior leadership
  • Serve as the senior-most financial expert to the executive team for all on-going budget, accounting, and operational needs
  • Analyze short and long-term cash flows, including assessing the impact on cash requirements and debt service
  • Maintain accounting software systems as well as handling HR-related functions including payroll, commissions, and benefit plans
  • Participate in other strategic projects and initiatives as assigned


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Four to eight years of accounting, preferably public accounting (Investment accounting experience is a plus)
  • CPA is highly desired
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly
