Overview: The Project Manager engages with the business to manage SAP projects from inception to completion, ensuring that the technology solutions align with business goals and deliver value. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and within budget. Additionally, the SAP Project Manager coordinates the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
Project Planning and Initiation:
  • Identify and define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments from business, technical, and financial perspectives.
  • Develop business cases to align project benefits with strategic goals.
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
  • Capture and document functional and non-functional business requirements through workshops, document analysis, site visits, use cases, scenario modeling, and task/workflow analysis.
  • Ensure requirements are clear, complete, specific, and align with project and business goals.
  • Create and manage a prioritized backlog (agile) or business requirements document (waterfall).
  • Refine requirements for design and implementation by Architects and Software Engineers.
  • Manage the scope and traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Execution and Monitoring:
  • Lead project team meetings and ensure effective communication among stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track project progress, managing any changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Process Modeling and Improvement:
  • Document current (as-is) processes using process modeling techniques.
  • Present high-level solution options and design future (to-be) processes.
  • Perform gap analysis and identify improvements.
  • Collaborate with Business Architects to ensure processes align with business and IT architecture.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
  • Collaborate with QA to develop test strategies, plans, and conditions.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
  • Review and approve test scripts to ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Ensure the quality of project deliverables through rigorous testing and validation.
SAP Integration Duties:
  • Support SAP integration with DX systems, focusing on FICO and HCM modules.
  • Gather requirements for new SAP APIs and interface modifications.
  • Coordinate communications, changes, and testing for SAP Integration.
  • Ensure seamless SAP integration and functionality across various business processes.
Skills Required:
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in SAP FICO and HCM modules.
  • Experience in process modeling, requirement documentation, and business analysis.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
