This individual will lead core FP&A functions including forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, reporting, and strategic analysis. The role will serve as a key thought partner to leadership, providing insights that directly influence business strategy, capital allocation, and growth initiatives.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, technically strong in financial modeling, and comfortable partnering across the organization to drive data-informed decision-making. This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to executive leadership, board-level materials, and strategic initiatives shaping the company’s next stage of growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Own and enhance the company’s integrated three-statement financial model (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow).
  • Lead annual budgeting and ongoing rolling forecast processes in partnership with business leaders.
  • Develop scenario and sensitivity models to support strategic decisions including pricing, hiring, growth investments, and capital allocation.
  • Build and maintain forecasting frameworks for revenue, transaction volume, and key operating metrics.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Lead monthly reporting, including variance analysis, KPI reporting, executive dashboards, and management commentary.
  • Analyze revenue performance, customer/product profitability, and transaction-level trends.
  • Improve FP&A systems, tools, and data integrity across planning platforms.
  • Deliver actionable insights that drive operational and financial performance.

Strategic & Executive Support

  • Prepare financial materials for board meetings, investor updates, fundraising, and due diligence.
  • Build financial models and business cases for pricing, product launches, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
  • Support long-range planning and company-wide growth strategy.
  • Partner closely with finance leadership on high-impact projects and ad hoc analyses.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with Sales, Product, Operations, and other teams to align financial outcomes with business performance.
  • Support go-to-market planning, revenue forecasting, and pipeline-to-revenue analysis.
  • Act as a trusted finance advisor, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Strategic Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting, or similar analytical roles.
  • Experience in a high-growth environment (startup, scale-up, or rapidly expanding business unit).
  • Strong experience building financial models from scratch.
  • Deep understanding of financial statements, forecasting, and key business metrics.

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to board reporting, investor relations, or fundraising processes.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, financial services, or transaction-based business models.
  • Familiarity with FP&A tools such as Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, Abacum, Mosaic, or similar platforms.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling expertise.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
