Direct Hire Azure Security Engineer $170k Hybrid Onsite POST NUMBER: 428325
**Key Responsibilities**
- Detect and mitigate security threats within the Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Implement, deploy, and oversee security solutions and services tailored for the Azure ecosystem.
- Create and establish efficient processes for managing cloud access in Azure.
- Ensure a reliable and user-friendly Azure infrastructure that requires minimal oversight.
- Monitor alerts and events generated by Azure security tools and take appropriate action.
- Optimize configurations of Azure security tools to reduce false alarms.
- Draft and maintain response documentation, including visual aids for Azure environments and security operations.
- Work closely with security leaders, engineers, and compliance teams to carry out Azure-specific security initiatives.
- Provide support to other teams in addressing Azure security concerns while adhering to business requirements.
- Evaluate existing Azure cloud security measures and recommend enhancements.
- Analyze the Azure architecture from a security perspective to deliver practical recommendations.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Azure security tools, applications, and processes.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience with security tools such as vulnerability scanners, static analysis tools, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for effective change management and automated security testing.
- Strong knowledge of Azure, along with a working understanding of AWS.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager.
- Knowledge of container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Instances).
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Ability to write SQL queries and develop dashboards and reports.
- Understanding of networking principles and web protocols.
- Awareness of contemporary cloud technology components and deployment strategies.
**Education & Experience**
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline.
- Required: Over 5 years of experience working with public cloud infrastructures, specifically within Azure.
**Technical Skills**
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C , or Ruby.
- Experience with SQL database management.
